Research Interests:
Dr. Buchanan’s research interests are in the areas of musculoskeletal biomechanics and the neural control of human movement. Recent projects include FES and Biomechanics: Treating Movement Disorders” and the “ACL Injured Knee: MRI and Biomechanical Modeling.”

Buchanan is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Applied Biomechanics and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Biomechanics and holds the rank of Fellow of the ASME.
