Research Interests:
Dr. Marsh’s research interests include molecular and biochemical mechanisms that determine growth and metabolism during early development in larvae from extreme environments (polar seas and deep oceans), protein folding and turnover at low temperatures in Antarctic marine invertebrates, protein metabolism at high-pressures (4000 psi) in deep-sea hydrothermal vent invertebrates, and proteomics and bioinformatics of early development.
He has published scientific papers in several journals, including Marine Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Journal of Experimental Biology, Antarctic Journal of the U.S., Biotechnology in Agriculture, and the Journal of Marine Biotechnology.
