Research Overview:

A University of Delaware faculty member since spring 2006, Dr. Adams teaches both undergraduate and graduate level psychiatric and mental health nursing theory and clinical courses, and has mentored a group of undergraduate students through a research project.  She has also held staff nurse positions in medical and psychiatric settings, worked as a psychiatric clinical nurse specialist, taught community health nursing in an RN to BSN program, and functioned as the assistant director for the accreditation program at the American Nurses Credentialing Center.   Her research interests are genomics, gene-environment interactions, premenstrual syndrome, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, and perimenopausal depression.  She is a member of the Eastern Nursing Research Society.
