Research Overview:

Professor Kidd has years of experience as a microbiologist in laboratory and clinical settings. He teaches Microbiology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Immunology, Environmental Microbiology, and Bioremediation. Research interests include the ecology of infectious diseases, particularly cholera and tick-born infections such as Lyme disease. He spent several summers at the Naval Research Lab in Washington, D.C. working on the bioremediation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.

Prof. Kidd serves on the Board of Directors of the Wallops Island Marine Science Consortium (MSC) and is currently Vice President for Research of MSC. He is also Wesley’s Faculty Athletics Representative to the NCAA. Outside interests include photography, a vegetable garden, and music.
