UD Core Facility Task Force

At the start of 2011, Mark Barteau convened a task force of faculty and staff to take a comprehensive look at core facilities at UD’s capabilities, needs, financing, administration, and compliance. For the purposes of this Task Force, the definition of a "Core Facility" refers to an entity that provides shared use access to technology platforms. Such facilities often provide a mechanism for individual faculty and students to access platform technologies that are too expensive for a single investigator. They may exist at any level within the University (consortia of faculty, department, College, etc.) and sometimes include technical staff, management staff, physical facilities, administrative support, and a fee structure. The membership of the Task Force is below. This page will host reports and updates from the core facility task force.
